Normally I can play XBL games fine with no problems on my school network. I tried playing the RE5 demo coop with my friend and we could just not connect at all. I tried it with someone else and we couldn't connect either. I use a router, so I DMZ'd to the 360's IP address to escape having to worry about any port forwarding. I don't think there is any major firewall to speak of. I thought it might be the network but I've played fine in the past. Is there something else I should be on the lookout for?

If it's RE5, try having him wait in the join a game one, then you create and invite him or something.

What does the NAT say?
i had some weird issue where the router was returning an OPEN setting, but would be coming back as STRICT if i connected direct to the modem.
Turns out it was always strict :(
I don't fucking know, because MS wiped out that super useful help panel when they put in NXE. Now they have a one step PRESS THE GUIDE AND WATCH THE BLINKING LIGHTS! page.
I don't know how I can test to see what the NAT type is anymore.
I actually tried connecting directly to the wall and it wouldn't let me connect at all :o

your nat type won't show up during the test unless it is strict or moderate

awesome, i was going fucking insane trying to find that and couldn't work out where it was.
the same way now it's impossible to redeem a code unless you do it through the guide (i think, couldn't find it via the marketplace)
