i've been thinking of picking up a ds while i can still do it without being ripped off by the dsi, so i was wondering if there are enough interesting games to be released, since unlike the psp this thing can't be used for anything else.
i remember that atlus japanese police beat 'em up looking pretty good but that's about it.
edit: i'm asking for games that'll be released 'cause i have a good idea about what i want that's already out

That animu detective adventure game. I forget what it's called, though...

SaGa 2 :hyper

Both portables are looking very sparse these day, especially if you are not into JRPGs.
-
Layton sequels
More Picross
I'm about JRPGed out at this point.
-
Ummmm... DQV I guess.
-
DQ5, 6, and 9
7th Dragon
World Destruction (or whatever the US version's name is)
SaGa 2 rmx
-
that sega game with the spaceship-infinite line?-looks interesting. I'm sure they'll find a way to turn me off to it via too much animu elements , but at least it looks neat.
-
Space Invaders Extreme 2, Perfect Prosecutor, and that J-Police beat em up.
-
World Destruction looks cool, but people who played the JP version said the battle balance was badly broken. They're supposedly tweaking it for the US release so I'd wait for others to play it and report on whether it's been fixed.

For PSP I want:
-Tenchu 4
-Dynasty Warriors Strike Force
-Sengoku Basara Battle Heroes
-Fantasy Golf Pangya
-Resistance Retribution
-Phantasy Star Portable
Also maybe that Gundam Pod game.
-
Phantasy Star 0 (however ugly) and Scribblenaughts make me want to buy a ds again. I think a new retail Warioware is in development. Touched! had potential and hopefully its more fleshed out this time. You can make your own microgames now.
Why hasn't Nintendo made a DS smash yet? Multiplayer would be a hassle?
-
DQIX and DQVIr that's about it. I hate handheld games, but DQ seems to work ok in the format so hopefully IX won't be too horrendous.
-
Actually put me down for FFVr and FFVIr too if they make them hard as ballz like FFIVr. FFIVr was so damn good and fit fine on the DS.
