Goddamn, this movie is THE shit. Seriously, it's about this bomb squad, stationed in the middle east, and it's from the same director of one of the greatest movies of all time (Point Break).
Tense, this movie is tense, it's exciting, it's really freaking badass, and there's a really sweet sniper sequence, so if you're into that shit, you'll love it.
There's not much to say about the movie without spoiling the action, so just go watch it, if you can.
-
seems serious bromo
-
Actually there isn't much of that going on at all. There ain't much of a "buddy" thing going on during the movie.
-
i dunno, it has a duder with a douchecut lookin right out the box at me, and the imagery screams call of duty
bromosexuality embodied seems so
-
i find that title both extremely silly and extremly awesome

It's like "The Rape Dumpster" but in war. :-*
-
Director of Strange Days, writer of Near Dark, and smart enough to dump James Cameron, but you reference POINT BREAK?
I'm telling Santa that you've been bad.

Someone with with photoshop skills should change the title to The Rape Dumpster. You'll know when you're in it.

I still think the tittle sucks, also who is that guy in the poster? I don't remember him in the movie.
-
The title refers to what happens to one of these guys if they mess up. "He got sent to the Hurt Locker".
-
It's also where Green Shinobi is right now.
-
I felt similar to how I feel about Saving Private Ryan, in that the set pieces were great but the character stuff in the downtime didn't work as well for me.
Still, it's an awesome action/suspense movie.
-
It's also where Green Shinobi is right now.
:lol
-
In what universe was Point Break even a good movie, let alone one of the best of all time?
-
Yeah. It didn't suck, but it was pretty average in all respects. Almost like a way shittier Donnie Brasco.
-
I'll watch it again. Maybe I'll like it more with a second viewing.
-

In Edgar Wright's universe:
Point Break is brilliantly directed, wildly implausible, both intentionally and unintentionally.
Green Shinobi bested yet again.

Foiled Again!

I've enjoyed every film Bigelow has directed, and Near Dark is criminally underrated. It makes you wonder how much more successful she would have been if she had, y'know, a penis instead of a vagina. But 'dems the breaks.

How good could she be if Nick Frost can't choose between her and Michael Bay?

You don't like Bad Boys 2 either? Bad Boys 2 is the shit.
-
James Cameron was the executive producer of Point Break :bow2

How can you choose between two masterpieces?
Bad Boys 2 > Avatar.

Have you even seen Hot Fuzz?
Which one you want to watch FIRST?

Was Point Break Keeanu's big break (:-\)? Or was it Speed? I can't remember which one set him off on the path to learning kung fu and fighting robots.

Speed turned him into a big action star.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, duders.

Arguably, this was his big break, but it wasn't what turned him into a star.

Dude. Near Dark is fantastic, and it caused me to want to get with Ms. Bigelow. Then Tremors came out and she reinforced her stature as one of the most creative and interesting action directors out there. Somehow I missed that Hurt Locker was her film until I saw her standing there with the Oscar on the news. Now I can't wait to see it.

You mean the movie about the giant worms? She didn't have anything to do with that movie.

Good god I am riding the short bus. Wrong ex-wife of Cameron.
:facepalm x10

You're thinking Gale Anne Hurd. :lol
-
You're thinking Gale Anne Hurd. :lol
Yeah, and she was just one of the producers.
-
She hasn't done very well for herself since she split with Cameron. The only movie of hers since then that I can actually say is awesome is Raising Cain.
