(i have the case side fan off so it will probably be a few degrees cooler when i put that back on)
I have no idea what Im doing so warn me if I'm distinguished mentally-challenged but in the bios I merely changed the 'cpu frequency' from 266 to 333, no voltage changes or anything it still set to auto there
I assume my change has to do with the fsb, q6600 is 1066 my mobo supports 1333, I changed some mobo jumpers accordingly beforehand of course

well i dont use stock cooling, I have some rosewill fan/heatsink I bought for 10$, it was a bitch to get on though

You'll know when you are pushing it when you start to see artifacts and/or weird stuff happens. But when you can up your rig by 10-20% with no issues, than do it.

yeah It hasnt shutdown or anything yet and the temps don't go much higher when not idle
I dont notice any FPS improvements in l4d though, which was my goal but i guess thats more gpu limited instead of cpu than I thought
