It was in a beautiful old church, downtown Montreal.
They had a kid's choir open up, they were pretty good. Then The Dears came on and put on an incredible show. The acoustics for being in a church were surprisingly amazing.

The singer, Murray started off in the crowd, opened with Savior from their new album.

That's an awesome venue for a Dears show!
I've seen The Dears a few times over the years. First time was back in February 2004 when they opened for Stars at the Crocodile Cafe in Seattle. They were great, but so incredibly loud, I mean ridiculously ear melting loud. I think the only band I've seen that was louder than they were was Spiritualized when they opened for Radiohead back in 1998. I saw them at Sasquatch 2005, and got them to sign my Lost in the Plot 7".
