Rygar: The Legendary Adventure.
Bildi, I think your talking about Mark of Kri, which was pretty good.

The best jet ski game in years, fucking trounces Wave Race GC. The developers even said "we're shamelessly ripping off Wave Race 64 since we loved it so much".
Awesome wave physics, AWESOME graphics, awesome Online play. It was only like US$20 too, it's one of the best games you've never heard of.
GC : pn03 - i HATED this game when i got it, then it suddenly just clicked and i cleared through it twice in a day and a bit. Loved it.

I playtested Carve back when it was going to be a first party MS Xbox title. They presented it as this "dark and gritty underground jetski racing game," and then it looked just like Wave Race.
Way of the SamuraiWord, but I think I had even more fun with Acquire's Samurai Western, which is a frenzied hack n slash that is blast to play and with a high class dub and ugly graphics.
Oddworld Stranger's WrathGreat game. You capture live animals that you then use as ammunition. Great story, with a huge twist also. Caveat: Doesn't play on 360.

It ended up looking more like Wave Race, it's not really dark and gritty at all. There are some dark levels where there's some storm but there's a lot of bright ones too. It's the best wave race clone ever, much better than that pile of shit Splashdown

and the preceding sentence can be used word for word as long as you replace "hack n slash" with "crazy shooter" and "Acquire's Samurai Western" with Gungrave: Overdose.
I didn't buy it after munch's odyssey was shit

this is actually kind of funny since I was playing the original Gungrave just yesterday on a PS2 emulator, which reminds me of another great unknown game from last gen: R.A.D. Robot Alchemic Drive
Advent Rising

That's the thing. It was NEVER dark and gritty. The designers came in telling us how it was all edgy and extreme, how we were going to be involved in the illegal realm of underground jet skiing (does that even exist?), and then once they let us play it, it was just like Wave Race.
-Mosquito (PS2)- A flying game where you play as the title's namesake. Avoid obstacles/human attackers and go for the blood! Also got a sequel; don't know if that came out in the U.S. though.
-OZ (PS2)- Interesting beat-em-up from Konami, where the main idea is to create huge juggle combos between your three characters. I own this but really haven't sunken much time into it, so maybe someone can provide a better description. This came out in Europe but I can't remember if it was under the same name or not.

-Urban Reign (PS2)- Namco's beat-em-up featuring Paul and Law from Tekken. You'd think this would have been huge but it wasn't well-received at all. It's hard as hell but one of the few traditional (it's 2.5d) console beat-em-ups out there.oh good choice, I concur, its one of the best (and sadly only) pure beat-em-ups of last gen. I'd also recommend Capcom's gorefest Shadow of Rome to a list of awesome but misunderstood PS2 beat-em-ups. Both games are LOADED with content, control wonderfully, and pack a strong visceral oomph to their gameplay.

This game is trash, tiesto. How can you prefer Origin's card system instead of the originals? They completely ruined it.
Armed & Dangerous
Armed & DangerousSo Guybrush, did you buy any of this shit, or just make us write it all down for nothing?
