You guys really should look into actually checking out the source before commenting. Sony staff didn't take the pictures, nor is the idea even that unique. Hell, some companies even air user submitted PR in television ad form.

Seems like a pretty harmless campaign where the fans of a product can have some fun with it and also poke fun at themselves. Not all that uncommon, actually. Didn't Microsoft do something similar a few years ago, maybe in a co-promotion with Mountain Dew?

Also, and this is obviously not the same thing but a random thought in the brain, but it's like We Are Playstation meets I'm A PC.

The problem with these sites is that there's nearly no originality to the pictures.  Just a bunch of bored people who want 15 seconds of attention from random people on the internet.  It would be a bit funny if somebody made a box guy pic though.
