Title: computer help: dvd drive in laptop has errors in registry or some shit

in my device manager, i get this error for the dvd drive in my laptop:

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Clicking on the check for solutions shit doesn't work.  How do I fix this?

Vista BTW if that matters
