whoa wait a minute, I think I got some things wrong here (my English is failing):
Who called you while you were going home? DM or your new employee?
Who got hit by a beer bottle? New employee or Bartender?
Does Hollywood Video have a specific policy regarding drinking with employees?
Why the fuck would the employee have the DM's number in the first place?
Well, here's his story (just found out). His version of what the bartender and the regular said varied from mine - he claims they physically threatened him. Then he went outside to phone a ride behind the bar and two guys claimed they knew me and that I hate him and beat him up. He has a broken hand and his cell phone is cracked now - he had to go the hospital. He called my DM to allege that I told these guys to jump him or something, and that they knew the bartender and the regular.so do you think the district manager knows you well enough to know you wouldn't do something like that?
Retail! Tried to warn you.
He was a key holder after 1 week on the job?
you hired Rebel?
Yikes, Will. I hope you escape this unscathed. I'd hope that the relevant people realize that his story is kinda obviously bullshit. I hope you learn your lesson and never do anything nice for anyone again.
you hired Rebel?
you can't even read one fucking page

can't take a joke. valentines month depression nikka?
How do you only read the OP and skip all the replies?
I read almost every thread since I joined. I might not have posted in a thread, but I've read every single post.
Jesus. Also what happened with that girl Wilco?
It's all irrelevant, as it looks like I'm going to catch some disciplinary action for drinking with a subordinate.
Is drinking with a subordinate outside of work not a good thing? It's not like you were trying to drug him and play with his toys.

I'm going to be nailed for some kind of inappropriate work conduct by as I'm a salaried employee or that I created a hostile work environment because of an off-the-clock incident.
And my poor judgment in taking out an employee at a place that serves alcohol.
Sucks. Should have taken him to Chili's.
Should have taken some videos with your phone or something.

blackberry curves dont have video recording :(
Jesus Willco, you're totally surrounded by a bunch of fuckwits (at work, not here).
Lolz, retail.
All this shit about DMs and ASMs and keyholders is fucking ridiculous.
You guys have some of the worst jobs out there; how the fuck do they expect you to actually take it seriously, let alone not get trashed after work every night?
Going to a bar with coworkers is a common experience across America. Probably the world.

Co-workers are different from subordinates.
You aren't supposed to fraternize with people you are managing and have authority over.
That really sucks, Willco. You'd think as a newer employee being invited out by his superior he'd have shown a bit of restraint hitting the booze. Sounds like a real cock. As TVC said, I hope your higher-ups see through this clown.
