Some stuff is gross, but some stuff is :drool.  This casserole made out of chips is genius, and I'm thinking of making something like it this weekend.

Ground beef, pierogies, french fries topped with green onions, avocado, bacon and egg, smothered in cheese and topped with gravy.

One of the local ice cream places here in Seattle currently has Maple Bacon ice cream.

This shit is fine if you only eat it like once a week and stay moderately active. Just don't be like demi.

I think I'd have to go once a month with these dishes.

God, all this food is making me hungry.  I'm gonna have to start running or doing more exercise or something, because my fat ass is so out of shape I can't walk up my driveway without getting winded.  I've started playing DDR again, if that counts, but I've gotta get in shape somehow.  Maybe I should change my diet too.....   meeeh.

But not better tasting..   :'(

I haven't looked up nutritional facts or anything, but I'd say my daily ritual of lunch at Steak and Shake for four chicken strips, a cup of chili and an order of onion rings, downed with a cherry coke, doesn't help my delicious weight.

It doesn't have to be that way.

Eat grilled chicken instead of fried. Steak is ok in moderate amounts, just buy the lean steak, or as my local store has, beef tips, which is a bunch of lean meat in strips.  Deer meat is really good for you too. Subway subs work really well as well. Most people seem to think that the only food you can eat on a diet or when eating healthy is a salad without dressing or small small small amounts of tofu and stuff.

Rice is pretty good for you too, provided you don't go crazy with additives.

I'm not a chicken fan unless it's fried... grilled just doesn't taste right.  And I'm a creature of habit.  It sucks sometimes.  I find one thing and stick to it.  But I've gotta try soon.

And while I do enjoy Subway, I get pretty much the most unhealthy thing there.   :lol

lol. I know the feeling. Trust me, At the end of last year I was getting overweight really badly due to eating habits, not drinking enough water, and being in a desk job and not working out like I should. I made a New Years Resolution to lose weight and eat better. Since then, I haven't drank a Coke or such since the New Year. Just water, milk, orange juice, and an occasional sports drink. Doing that, working out, and eating better has led me to 22 pounds lost so far. A few more months of this and I should be in as good a shape as I was coming out of the military.

If I can do it, you can do it man. Its a mental thing mainly. You have to be committed. Just set a goal to drink less Tea/Coffee/Coke/etc as a start. Maybe drink a glass/bottle of water in its place. Start with what you can handle. I went cold turkey, but not everyone can.  Then, start cutting back even more on the carbonated/caffeinated drinks until you mainly drink water. OJ or Milk in the morning is good too. Get a workout plan setup. Have realistic goals you know that YOU can achieve. Then make yourself go through with it. I seen around 30 people join the same gym I did to lose weight. Alot of them, like me, really needed to. Of those, about 5 are left. Most gave up because they didn't set a realistic goal they could reach. That and they had too many excuses to not go work out. Too much homework. Too tired from work. Forgot to go up there. The first week made me hurt too bad. Don't be like those. Stick with it, and eventually you want to work out. It makes you feel good. Sure it hurts for the first few workouts, but thats your body trying to handle the workload you haven't been putting on it in a long time. Get past that and you have a good chance to keeping at it.

These are some awesome words of encouragement.  I am definitely going to try to do some of this stuff.  I appreciate it a lot.

no problem man. Biggest issue with people trying and failing is they start with too much too fast. Some can do things like that. Most can't. So if you don't think you could go all out at the start, start slow. You'd be surprised how much weight you'll drop just by stopping drinking coke, tea, coffee, etc. They have alot of calories.
