Post by: Mondain on February 23, 2009, 07:08:49 PM: this game is hilarious and fucking awesome, the guns are amazingly fun to use, and there are timed objectives that look taken out of The Club that add a lot of fun to the missions

there's an upgrade system where you can purchase guns with the money that you loot and they handle very very well, I haven't played with guns that handle so well since STALKER

very very fun game even if you despise 50

I'm playing on Hard, too, btw. It's pretty easy so far. Well it is the first level though.

The targets arent required for achievements besides "Get all Targets in a level" or if you are going on Gold which you NEED to play on Hard anyway

Demi's also right about the difficulty. I'm not the best at shooters, but I breezed through the first bit of the game on Normal (I think I died twice, once messing around to see how many bullets I could take standing out in the open, and once again during the first vehicle level "experimenting") so I'm likely going to restart it on hard when I play again.

Just lead the chopper by about an inch to an inch and a half, then fire.

+++++60fps with good graphics
+FAST and good controls
+Buddy saying stupid comments all the time
+lol cutscenes
+collectibles that are easy to find
+EASY DIFFICULTY (after so many real games, it's nice to pick up a game where you don't need skill and you just run around and blow shit up while having fun. No thinking, no covering, just blow shit up!)

-The tip box takes up like 20% of the screen and limits your view at times

Really enjoying it. Plays real well and has lots of laughs. I need to play more shooters that are just about FUN like this and not serious ZOMG YOU TAKE COVER AND POKE OUT OR YOU DIE.

Who were the developers on this?

If I tried really hard thats the only thing I'd complain about, the HUD takes up so much of the screen. But it's not even worth complaining about.

Post by: Bebpo on March 30, 2009, 07:00:09 PM: Ok, the final level was a terribly lame way to end the game. Should've just ended after the boss fight of the previous level. The car race was the lamest level and then I was expecting to get out of the car and have an awesome final boss fight for the skull and...the credits rolled, lol.

Otherwise, game rocked. I liked how it ripped off every shooter so it felt like a complete package but constantly fun. The shooting was great, the turret parts were great, the first car sequence was a fun diversion, the chopper turret was great. It really had everything plus a crystal skull. I think it could've used some variety for the boss fights instead of just having a tougher chopper fight everytime, but then otoh I liked the chopper fights because they were easy, so I didn't really care :P

I think what really made the game was how different all the weapons are. When I was like halfway through the game and the enemies started to not die so quickly with my weapons, I saved up and got the best assault rifle and then everyone was going down in a second or two and it was awesome. Then I kept running out of ammo and my blue shotgun weapon sucked so I saved up and bought the best uzi and suddenly I was running around without even using the L-trigger aim and just blowing away guys in 1 second with the super uzi. Loved the explosive round pistol too and liked that there was enough ammo around to use rockets whenever. Add in grenades and I always had a lot of stuff to blow people away, which was rad.

The game is fun enough that it almost makes me want to go and try to 1000/1000 it someday. Best.$20.game.ever.

I complete all the scenarios, combo 2-4 guys kills in a row, and try to blow everything up but that's all I get scorewise. The posters/targets help a lot and the one time I got all of them (replaying the first section) I only barely got 75k and a silver, but that's still far from gold. I just don't see how it's possible to get those kind of points?
