Title: Anyone Ever Resell a Criterion DVD to Gamestop/EB?
Post by: The Miles Trahan Burger Experiment on December 04, 2006, 08:02:52 PM
I'm thinking of giving up my old Seven Samurai disc and the Brazil boxset, seeing as I'm gonna be purchasing the new Samurai reissue pretty soon, as well as the one disc Brazil reissue. How much bank am I likely to make on these? ???

Listen you dirty little fruit, what's your asking price?  I want them.

I'd be willing to let the 7S disc go for like $10-$15 (considering it still sells for $30 and will likely be OOP soon, that's a steal). I'm not sure whether I want to give up the whole boxset or just the main disc of the Brazil set, but my prices for either would be: $10 for disc/$40 for boxset. :)

Are you serious? Two revered classics, considered to be the finest films of all time -- yeah, shut up. ::)

MAF hates the CC for not doing Godzilla movies and refuses to own any though!

Speaking of Criterion next year the best movie in the criterion collection(ok maybe not but still awesome) is getting a update to a multi-disk set.

No, you're a distinguished mentally-challenged fellow for getting rid of them.

I'm not getting rid of them because I don't like them, I'm getting rid of them because I'm about to upgrade the DVDs. Try reading before you hit reply next time... ::)

EDIT -- BTW, if anyone wants a good deal on these upgraded discs, amazon is shipping both to me for just a little over $60. 8)

I don't think Gamestop's POS distinguishes between Criterion and non-Criterion

That's what I was afraid of. Well, at least Mupepe is offering to take them off my hands -- $24 for two pretty bare bones CC's, I'm content with the trade-off. :-[

Shit, my bad.

From the looks of it, I'm getting a good deal on my CC's, and so is Mupepe -- its a win-win situation. :-*

Yeah, when it came down to it, I'd rather sell them to a cool dode on the forum than a faceless company.
