Title: does RAID 1 affect pc gaming performance?

I am considering setting up two 1 terrabyte hdd's  in a RAID 1 so that I don't have to screw around with moving my user folder and all that jazz.  Does anyone know if it would seriously affect gaming performance?  Woud it be better to have a RAID 0+1?
