Well? Apart from the obvious Daydream Nation of course
-
still a huge fan of dirty and goo
-
Sister and EVOL are both excellent. I prefer Sister to Daydream Nation, actually. The three of them comprise the "trilogy." The following Goo and Dirty are also fun, straightforward records.
Washing Machine is the album that got me hooked, though. It's experimental and noisy and indulgent to just the right degrees.
They honestly have not put out a less-than-great record. It's all about finding the one record that hooks you and working from there. If you can tell me some of your favorite records, I can help point you towards the SY you need to hear.

as far as new albums go, I think Sonic Nurse is the best that they've put out in a long time. their past three albums (murray street, sonic nurse, rather ripped) have all been excellent. really the only bad album i've heard they had was nyc ghosts & flowers, tho i haven't heard it myself.
also new album out real soon!

'Sister' is up there. Rather Ripped wasn't bad for the first couple o listens, either.
-
just start with either goo or dirty.
-
Goo & Sonic Nurse.
Though those & daydream nation are the only SY albums i've listened to. :(

I so so so love this song. I think Sonic Nurse is one of their best albums. Hard to believe that the band can still generate that quality after 25 years of being together. Best band ever.
