Why can't you just play it for fun?
because it isn't fun
if this was from a third-party publisher ninthings would be rageshitting themselves at the implicit belief that wii games must be made cutesy and minigameyAnd if this game was on the Xbox, Evilbore wouldn't have a thread dedicated to hating it either.

Looks like fun. Evilbore is anti-fun, so I'm not surprised the 'Bore ain't feeling it.
No, I'm pretty sure that I've got you pegged as the butthurt fanbois taking Wii's success personally. Don't worry, it's not just EB - it's nerdlingers throughout the internet.
Teddman and Saint are probably the oldest people I've seen posting on the internet.
Their rabid Wii defence is a bit suspicious.
If spastic waggle action is the new definition of "fun" then go ahead and count me in the bitter old fogey camp.

Your mangling of the word "defense" is suspicious as well.

Outside of the US, defense is spelled with a c
I'm surprised the original has such hate and love towards it. Excite Truck was a fun game, just nothing really special. It was like a Hydro Thunder or San Fransisco Rush arcade style of racing game, except not really as good, but still entertaining enough.

I dunno. It's hard to have much fun with the controls. Like drohne said, with no feedback it's really hard to steer exactly where you want to and since there are things to crash into everywhere that just makes it annoying when you smash into something you didn't want to drive into.
If it had analogue controls and a stable framerate I'd dig it.
I love Hydro Thunder, I want more Hydro ThunderWell, there is that Hydro Thunder semi-sequel coming out in arcades (and likely home consoles) sometime this year...
ExciteTruck was a good stand-in for a few months there.
Uh if there was a game called ExciteTruck on 360 that I really enjoyed, and this was revealed as the sequel, I would certainly make a thread about it.If you say so.....
Most of the hype comes from Wario pimping the game at GAF and people jumping on the bandwagon. It is certainly a good game, but not the second coming of Christ. To be fair, I'm pretty sure most of the posts on gaf are being done in jest.
