Due to fatigue and time constraints, I have been eating far too much fast food. So today I went to the grocer and got my foods.
Dinner:
Polish Sausage and pickled red cabbage.
after-dinner:
rose muscat from the crimean
italian macaroons
french version of happy cow cheese(which I assume is the exact same as the US)
some lingonberries jam
and some kalmi gulabi tea

well no shit eric.
more of an unfortunate observation than anything else.
though the nostalgia did send me searching for a good place to get wings in nyc.
found a place nearby and will give them a shot, so thanks for the inspiration
for dinner i had spinach salad, w/ onions, broccoli green peppers and a wasabi dressing along w/ an amy's organic burrito and two timtams.
-
I normally get my wings from Wing Stop. I haven't seen a Buffalo Wild Wings around here.
-
Huey's burger and some cheddar potato skins. mmm... skin... :drool
-
Costco pizza and salad!
-
The wife made homemade sloppy joes, sweet potato fries and green beans for dinner tonight.
-
I didn't make it home for lunch today, so a few cookies from the office cookie jar.
Damn, I'm hungry.
-
I had a jambalaya from Safeway, a few slices of cold pizza from Papa John's, and some fishsticks from the microwave. 2G2D :'(
-
Had some edamame dumplings for lunch and an italian sub for dinner.
-
Lunch: 3 pc Chicken Tenders from school cafe. Amp energy drink to drink
Dinner: 2 Grilled Cheese, one glass of cranberry juice
Now: A 20 oz Mountain Dew and an Instant Lunch-Chicken.
I fucking hate college.
-
I had kashi cereal for breakfast , I guess so I could fart all day , woo GO FART CRUNCH. Had a diet mountain dew cuz that's how I roll in the AM.
veggie burger patty with spinach and salsa for lunch, along with some toasted pita bread and HUMMUS with water.
dinner was just roasted red pepper soup, I was lazy and wasn't that hungry, had a small glass of raspberry lambic and a bigger glass of sparkling water with it.
made some scones with dried cherries and belgian chocolate for dessert just so I wasn't completely useless in the kitchen today.
-
Frag have you tried brasserie fantome's beers?
I've had a couple. My problem is that I just don't fancy the famhouse ales in general all that much, so I didn't find them very memorable. I'll look for the ghost again this summer just to give it another spin. Usually I just drink lambics (which is what my wife almost exclusively drinks) and flanders reds or abbey ales, with the occasional domestic wheat beer or a decent sparkling cider from Brittany or what not.
-
All I had today was some taco bell and a bunch of meringue cookies that I made last night.
-
Mom made dinner today:
Stir fried cabbage (some sort of chinese vegetable) and tofu dish.

Braised cow tongue. My grandmother made some for us the other day and being the competitive person she is my mom decided to make it for use tonight. Not my picture but looks pretty similar to what we had.

The ones in LA are up to 40 cent wings on Tuesdays, and $3.50 for beer of the month. :'(
When they first opened I think it was 25 cent wings and $2.50 beers.
It's still pretty cheap I guess. The worst thing about BWW is that they stopped serving their tabletop mini-kegs, although I'm not sure if that is just a regional thing. They were abused locally.

Flatbush, NY?
yes

mmmmmm, falafel. I think we're ordering food tonight, might get a gyro. :drool

I just had eggs and cream cheese on a bagel.
But I accidently put too much paprika in the eggs, like a third a cup of paprika for two eggs. My stomach will not forgive me.

Since I'm going out drinkin' tomorrow night, I'm making corned beef with cabbage and potatoes tonight with homemade Irish soda bread.
nomonomonomonom
-
i'm irish and have never eaten corned beef voluntarily as an adult, i think. use bacon in your colcannon instead, so much better.
-
corned beef is awesome
I plan on a corn beef and cabbage and chimay st pattys
-
corned beef is vile WWII rations, and probably made of horse. one step up from SPAM imho. but clearly this trend cannot be stopped.
-
Vile or not, it's damn tasty. I only eat it once a year so I always get excited about it.
I had a little bite of the beef when I threw in the cabbage and potatoes, so good.

Horse is edible. :drool

I'm with Cormacaroni on this one. Corned Beef is somewhere around "I can only afford Ramen" levels of 2G2D. I understand peasant food can be spiced and dressed up but Corned Beef is :-X :-X :-X :-X :yuck :yuck :yuck :yuck

The fact that it's peasant food is part of the appeal!
-
Last night, I had Malaysian curried dumplings, fish & chips, beef in ale, chili and rice, and a Double Whopper w/Cheese and onion rings. And lots and lots of Guiness and Shakespere Rogue Ale.
-
I'm eating a korean curry shrimp rice bowl thing. awesome but it makes me drink a crapload of water.
-
Last night I cooked lamb chops (marinated in rosemary, lemon juice, red wine, salt and pepper), chickpeas with diced onion, olive oil and oregano, and fried spinach with pignoli nuts. And some McCain bagged french fries. It was really good.
-

I'm so fucking stuffed :'(
-
that looks good, man! one day ima look up some jamie oliver videos on youtube so that i can make a decent steak.
what's the other stuff, rice and beans? lookin' good :drool
-
Yep, just regular rice and beans. It was good as a side, almost the texture of refried beans.
The steaks themselves actually got cut up into sliver thin pieces (took a while) that went into tacos. I want to make those steaks with quesadillas next time.
-
I had a bacon cheese burger and onion rings. I feel terrible now, though. :-\
