pound got pounded, yen has risen drastically, which hurts Nintendo's vital export business.
I think the result is that the retailers will just "eat the cost" or raise prices by only a few pounds. note that they didn't raise the MSRP.

That's the most likely scenario, but you have to admit that it would be deliciously crazy if the Wii could actually increase in price, while the others fight to win marketshare by way of price drops.

What a difference a year makes. 2D2G. The pound sterling was extremely strong last year.

This past weekend was only the second time I've seen Wii available in stores and only the first time I've seen more than one. I wonder how long those stacks will last?
