Man, what is this? What's with the close-in view? I don't like it at all. Movement feels restricted and there's too many QTEs. I don't feel like I have much control over the wrestler. The graphics are decent...character models and faces look good, but everything else is weak as hell. I'm really disappointed as this was gonna be the first wrestling game I bought since SNES Royal Rumble.
-
You didnt buy the super duper awesome wowsome N64 games?
-
Yeah there's something really shitty and sluggish about the controls.

never owned an n64

they're so bad...sluggish, clunky, unresponsive, resident evil 5-ish...
just an awful game, a big disappointment
-
Damn, you missed out on the N64's Revenge and other games.
-
Lol wrestling
-
No Rick Martel? Go suck a dick THQ
-
I think the WWE listed who they wanted for the game - thats why there's no Savage or Foley.
Anyway this was one of the worst games I've played in months.
-
Their proportions freak me out (more than usual)
-
I read an interview with the games designer and they showed them the game's proportions and their real life proportions and people remembered them as massive freaks.
-
Wrestling games peaked on the N64, holy shit

They're probably trying to differentiate it from the other wrestling game they've made. I bet a lot of people who were kids at the time of these events probably remember these wrestlers as having heroic proportions.
-
The pinnacle of pro wrestling games:
WCW VS. nWo WORLD TOUR
WCW/nWo Revenge
WWF Wrestlemania 2000
WWF No Mercy
I own all of these fucking brilliant games... so awesome. Never will these be beat.
-
I hear the WWE Day of Reckoning games were good, but you had to be both (a) a wrestling fan and (b) a GameCube owner -- limited Venn diagram area there.

I was always under the impression that all the WWF fans bought Gamecubes because of its powerful N64 legacy of...power
-
I get the feeling if Day of Reckoning wasn't exclusive it wouldn't have been claimed to be any good.
See Uncharted, Killzone etc..
-
I dunno man, my roommate had Day of Reckoning 2 and I thought it was pretty solid. Puzzlingly, THQ STILL went with the dumb Smackdown engine with their future games.
-
Those N64 games were pretty damned solid, but I /do/ get tired of hearing people say how they'd happily buy them ALL OVER AGAIN, except with updated graphics.
Then again, I am guilty of saying the same thing about Tobal. :-(

Probably because Smackdown sold in much higher numbers than Day of Reckoning.

Day of Reckoning isn't that great. It had it's ups but the Smackdown engine (at the time) was fucking solid.
Smackdown Vs. Raw 2006, for example, was a fucking awesome wrestling game.
-
WWF Attitude was greatness.
-
I will stick with more over-the-top stuff like Kinnikuman, Rumble Roses, and the first Def Jam game.
-
That first Def Jam game was some AKI greatness.

Yep. Fight For New York was the beginning of the end, though.
-
this game has easy as fuck achievements. i got 190pts in like 10 minutes
-
Is the full game out? If it's as good as the demo it's probably the worst wrestler ever made.
Yukes sucks. UFC looks like it will be garbage as well.
-
I got a promo copy. Yes it's a shit game but for free it's not too bad.
The UFC game at least looks awesome and sounds like they want to make it decent. But there's been so little said about the gameplay I'm really worried.
