Yup, apparently Ron Paul makes a cameo in the Bruno movie. (http://slate.com/id/2213882)
I guess FoC is buying tickets as we speak.
Presidential candidates will do almost anything for publicity. But Ron Paul's appearance in Sacha Baron Cohen's upcoming Bruno movie suggests he draws the line at making sex tapes with gay Austrian TV hosts.
In a five-minute scene, comedian Cohen tries—and fails—to seduce the Texas congressman and former Republican presidential candidate in a Washington hotel room. A spokeswoman for Paul confirmed the appearance but declined to discuss details, which were provided by two people who attended a test screening last week.
:hump

every politician who end up in one of cohen's bits look like complete fools, so I approve of this.
-
Paul keeps his word, unlike Obama :yuck
-
I think you might get stoned for watching it, Jin.
-
July I think. Watch out tho, this movie is like a double whammy of "get young Saudis killed"- made by a Jew and all about the ghey.
-
:rofl Awesome.
-
awesome. paul is a good sport.
-
he prolly didnt even know it was a joke
thats kind of the point of these things
-
made by a Jew and all about the ghey.
Sounds a lot like the Bore to me, yet I'm still alive.
I think I'll take my chances.
:lol

Yep that's the point. He wouldn't have put it in the movie if he knew ron paul thought it was a joke. The whole point of his stuff is to humiliate people and make them seem racist/sexist/stupid.
The whole point of the segment was to humiliate Ron Paul based on all the other stuff he has done.

no, he didn't know about it. i read the scene. seems really funny. i'm sure he'll get blasted for calling him queer, but it seems totally normal and justified considering he drops his pants in front of him.
-
i never saw bruno as trying to make other people look sexist. most of his stuff is taking advantage of the fashion industries tolerance and backfiring it upon itself
-
I don't know Cheebs, I think it's gonna be scripted just like Pam's appearance on Borat. I think that's the approach they take with celebs, other people however are most definitely clueless.
That was because that was the main plotline of the movie. 99.9999% of the people cohen interviews are clueless, because that is the point of his act.

That is only part of Bruno. Some of Bruno's best stuff involve his stuff with the pastor, the homophobic jocks, the gun show...etc on da ali g show.

too bad he wasted the ali g character on a very shitty scripted movie. :(
-
eh i preferred the show format
have you seen aiii?
-
I don't mind. Ali G is my least liked of the 3.

yeah, truth be told, if cohen'd done the same act to most women in the same context, the effect woulda been the same, minus the "queer" epithet. and since it WAS a gay situation, "queer" was possibly the LEAST awful thing he coulda said.

boo you

Ali G is ok, but Bruno and Borat just make so much more sense in the US and result in better material.

Also Ron Paul is not going to get shit for freaking out over a "gay" guy because he is a nobody. If a big name congressman called cohen a queer there would be some media attention

he got a lot of shit for his racist newsletter. paul is pretty well known, regardless of the fact yourself and others find him irrelevant. McCain, Hillary, and Kerry may be more recognizable, but he's definitely up there. Most people don't even know any congressman outside their own state.

Seems pretty funny. I wish I went to the screening here 2 days ago.
Also sounds like Ron Paul handled the situation very well.
