stealth edit.
FUCK YEAH IE8
-
will wait for it to be patched
-
one no-shank; one may-shank
-
What makes it the best browser ever?
-
God IE7 is so ugly. Might as well upgrade
-
ugly? i bet you use some bling bling FF theme.
-
hmm, looks like there's no OSX version yet.

PD doesnt know how to run a machine, let alone build one. I would disregard his opinions and thoughts on the subject matter.
-
I already have Firefox 3 and I just use IE to check my online Outlook.
-
:bow IE :bow2
How does 8 compare to 7 in terms of consuming resources?
-
I already have Firefox 3 and I just use IE to check my online Outlook.
Which is weird, because my work Outlook email would only ever work under FF.
-
Comes with Win7 but I don't use it. Does the new one have an ad blocker?

I hate how the tabs look, I don't like the buttons, placement of the refresh button...
-
The refresh button is in the same place for every browser: F5, nub
-
updated and it seems mostly the same as IE7. biggest change is that opening a blank tab now has a lot of cool options.

I'll stick with Firefox unless Prole can tell me why this is so superior.
-
Thank you for immortalizing me MCD. :bow

i am sure there is an "accelerator" (i.e. a plug-in) that does that
-

more secure, more stable, better site compatibility across the board

Both my Outlook webmails only work correctly under IE.
-
FF works fine for me. Shank away.

I take back the part about not using it. I do have to use it with CRM and Project Accounting.
-
Does this have any options for add-ons or whatever? I can't really browse without gmail-checker.
-
managing addons is much better than IE7 but no, there is no FF style addons as far as i know.

people still use IE?
may check it out one day
-
holy shit
pages load like lightning
holy shit
-
It's not storing any URLs I type in the dropdown bar, for sites I visit constantly
-
that's weird, it saved all of mine from ie7
-
This sucks balls, I want to go back. I dont want the stupid smartaddress bar to show me every fucking URL in existence. I just want my last 6 sites I entered to appear in the dropdown, like before. Ugh.
-
I fixed it kind of. It was related to autocomplete. I had to enable it, but disable everything else (favorites, history)
Now when I click the dropdown it shows my recent URLs. It still does some gay ass search crap if I try to manually type a URL in. Would love to disable that.
On the upside, I do love manually erasing URLs. No more typo'd websites!
-
nice find demi.
-
this is what i mean, with "search crap"
quit forcing ads on me thanks
-
Nah I'll stick with Firefox, can't really surf the internet without Adblock anymore!
-
IE, no shanks.
-
No Adblock and No NoScript = No Sale.

Can't get the Digg accelerator to work. Can't get any to work actually.
-
all of those were made during beta builds, give them some time.
i've only tried amazon and ebay visual search which work fine so far.
-
No Adblock and No NoScript = No Sale.
yup
-
Loads pages slower than Firefox from my messing around with it.
-
lol.
-
what is the deal with the tab colors? sometimes yellow, sometimes green and other times blue. it's not for different types of pages either, it's like they randomly change. Can I just keep them blue?
-
it's called tab groups, it groups similar tabs (same website) by using random colors.
you can disable it under internet options --> general --> tab settings.
-
yeah, I just noticed when I was using multiple websites. Pretty clever actually, I just don't have a use for it.
-
I'm the only dude in the world who still uses Chrome.
I use a chrome skin for firefox, which is all I need from it till it gets better
-

I use as it well. Speed>>Features. I downloaded IE8 and I still use it for sites that aren't compatible with Chrome.
-
Chrome user since November ... yo
-
Chrome/firefox on Win7, Firefox/Safari 4 beta on OSX. No fank you to IE
-
Firefox and Chrome are still too good. IE can go away.
-
I'm going to try it out. I need to use it for Outlook anyways.
-
I'm using it on my laptop. Works pretty well.
-
Only bug I've had with IE8 is that opening a brandnew tab seems to stutter at times for a second or two before it opens. Other than that, I've had a peachy experience.

Do you have Spybot or Spyware Blaster installed?
disabling their immunization made opening tabs extremely fast for me.

Yea, I have spybot. And I use the immunization as an added layer of protection. I'll try it with that disabled and see how it goes.

Good to hear. Tabs were taking 3-5 seconds to open for me, compared to IE7 opening them instantly. I was considering a re-install.
