Title: Heroes tv show
Post by: CHOW CHOW on March 24, 2009, 01:51:54 PM
Anyone been watching?  Last night's episode was amazing.  Bryan Fuller, who's apparently this great writer, came back and wrote the ep and it was pretty awesome.  Last night they killed off Daphne and Tracy Strauss (who might not be dead, you had to watch the scene).  Even if it wasn't a solid death, she had one of the most badass death scenes ever.  There was a bunch of government soldiers surrounding her in an underground parking lot and she stood in the middle and did this massive ice burst that froze everything, the ground, the soldiers, and herself.  She became totally frozen and then the main govt bad guy shot her body and it exploded in icy chunks, but half her head was there on the ground and it winked and a tear came down and there was also a drain in the shot which gives me the feeling that she's not really dead and can reform like venom/sandman/aquaman/etc.  I'm a big fan of super hero stuff like X-men etc. so I'm glad the show is back on track.

Quit watching after the public abortion that was the second season.  Show really started to drag after the midpoint of S1, tbh.

Last night episode was good, lets hope that they can keep it up.

The show is nowhere on track. Just watch it and be entertained by the shitty show it is.

Hot Cop is still hot, btw. Baby Parkman is ugly. Janice as well.

Oh, Bryan Fuller is the guy who created Pushing Daisies, which was superior to Heroes in every way.  No wonder Heroes started sucking after he left, lol.

I had no idea that Bryan Fuller was writing for Heroes before this episode.

The episode was alright I guess.  Only really great part was naming the baby "baby touch-and-go"

Serious question...so are you gay now? I used to think the man-love comments were just jokes, but this one about the "Hot Cop" wasn't funny at all.  I don't see the punch line.

Show is def back on track as long as it stays consistent with last night's quality, or somewhat close.  I dunno how anyone can say last night's ep wasn't great compared to what we're used to.  Fuller delivered.  I wonder how many episodes he's writing.

Dollhouse and Lost were pretty awesome last week. Watch those instead of whatever this thread is about, please.

Tracy is still alive as well. She clearly knew what she was doing, and the fact she winked (oh sorry, cried a tear) shows she is still in control. She is like Sandman.

This Heroes episode was 10x better than any shit i've seen from Dollhouse.

I just didn't quite understood how she iced herself, i mean...was it sort of a overload thing?

Dollhouse is shit, I couldn't watch the first episode for more than 5 minutes.

She was locked up for some time. She clearly had time to develop her powers, as indicated by breathing cold air while being baked. She knew what she was doing.

It's no different from when Matt Parkman could only read minds but over time could manipulate thoughts and visions.

Is this confirmed or your theory?

It is a guess based on the writing of comic books

Because I was just reading the GAF thread and they said the creators said there would be a few major deaths and one of them would "not stick"... Tracy's has gotta be it.  Hope so...I'm a fan of Ali Larter.  Blondes from Jersey :drool

Yeah i guess so.

Like the dude from X men, he could ice himself too. Anyway, it's clear that this episode was written by a superior writer, the powers are used much much better, the dialog was better, situations were more exciting, Hiro stuff was funny for a change. Matt Parkman finally had some awesome scenes again, the last time he had them, was in Season 1, the whole paris stuff and shit was really cool.

I loved this episode.

He basically fixed a bunch of shitty elements of the story all in one episode

- Killed off Daphne.  I didn't hate her or anything, she just wasn't needed.

- Gave Hiro his powers back BUT made them limited so he's not this insanely powerful time traveler.  This was a huge move because the time travel shit held a cloud over everything

- Powers used more often as you said and just generally better writing and rapport between the characters

Now that i think back to it. Claire didn't have a role in the episode at all.

So that's another +

I did the motion right after he did that.  LOLJAPPASTREETFIGHTERLOL! more hadokens plz

This season has been a lot better, it also helps that they're pretty much sticking to one or two arcs an episode so something actually gets accomplished.
