Looks like fun. Also looks like Hulk UD with weapons and vehicles.
edit: they put "pwn" in a game trailer. And apparently, the best way to bring down an attack helicopter is to throw a human body against it. Yikes.

Who are you arguing with? Who talked about story (other than the developer)? It looks like Hulk UD, and by that I mean that they basically took the destruction and the moves from UD, but replaced Hulk with some hooded shapeshifter who can wield guns and take over vehicles. Hulk UD was a favorite of mine, so hey, I'm alright with it. Judging by your reaction, it honestly doesn't seem like you are.
As for realism, that's not even an issue. But taking down an attack helicopter with a flying body is pushing it. Tossing a car at it, sure. It's a bit like comparing Burnout and Gripshift.

Definitely, but I think Prototype looks more fun. I'll be playing the hell out of both, regardless.

Prototype looks fun in that Spider-Man game "there is no real point to playing the game and it's pretty jank but the mechanics are mindless fun" way. I'm just a bit surprised that this game got a bit of a defense force behind it despite all that. I also don't understand the Crackdown comparisons some people throw around either; the two game aren't really looking similar at all.
Infamous is looking better. I didn't know it would have experience and a karma system, which is pretty cool. The platforming parts of it look amazing and I'm still a bit curious if the combat will hold up throughout.
Yeah. The delays, the exclusion of MP, and I bet much more that we haven't yet heard of. It has "troubled development" written all over it, so I'm keeping my expectations low hoping that it would surprise me.

I think it's being compared to Crackdown simply because people are incredible shortsighted and have a habit of focusing on the nearest point of reference. Then again, I don't recall seeing many comparisons between Hulk UD and Crackdown, so hey. I think they are selling all three games short with these comparisons.

I don't think it would be selling Prototype short if it was compared to Hulk or a Spider-Man game because it looks like it will be that type of game. Crackdown isn't about running up a building like it's nothing, it's about actually climbing up that building, almost like a platformer; Assassin's Creed is also similar in some ways. That's the type of game Infamous is going to be.

Prototype looks like the more fun game in terms of being a sandbox to run around a city and do all kinds of shit. Infamous looks like the better made game though, but I really don't get the impression from Infamous it is built for people just to run around the city to wreck havoc if they so please.

I get the feeling that inFamous is going to be heavily story- and mission-driven with few "sandbox" elements. Which is fine because I don't want to play the same game twice.
