The whole song is about Lucid Dreaming, the bolded is the fundamentals of becoming lucid (recording your dreams so you recall dreams easily). Was sent this track by my father who I've probably talked to once about this many years ago. I was extremely touched by this but that aside, just thought the lyrics are amazing in regards to being informative about something so obscure.

This is the type of metal thats I like (Iron Maiden too) but I'm not that into the genre. They have some pretty good tracks, other than this one.

Operation: Mindcrime and Empire are great albums. Silent Lucidity is the radio song if they had any, meh. It's not their style.

I'm listening to Operation: Mindcrime and love the concept of it ( :yuck modern day musicians feeling the need to make an album full of singular tracks for iTunes instead of a whole cohesive experience like The Wall and Operation: Mindcrime). I dig this.

This song was a pretty huge hit back in the day. I actually saw Queensryche open for Def Leppard but it was before they had written this song. It's their 'ballad' I don't think there is anything else in their catalog that sounds like this song. I love the haunting guitar riff of the song, sends chills down my spine.
