Title: Good XBLA games?
Post by: Oblivion on April 03, 2009, 12:56:13 AM: So it seems the combination of restlessness and my being a jew when it comes to money has caused me to turn my focus to XBLA. Maybe I'm getting old, but it's hard for me to focus on these 20-40 hour huge games ( I mean, I still enjoy them, but right now I think I'd rather focus on the 'fun to play in quick bursts' type games).

Lately I've been playing the shit out of Zuma and Geometry Wars, both I think are fairly awesome and addicting titles. I never played that thar Peggle or whatever its called game, but I hear good things about it. Any other good suggestions?

Also, obligatory demi distinguished mentally-challenged fellow response: "How about Super Mario Bros. :teehee "

Oh ok. Did you ever get the achievement for playing in a 4p online match? I've never been able to find that many people online at once. :(

Back on topic, are you playing Geo Wars 1 or 2? If the former, get the latter. I'd also download the trials of Exit (really good value if you like the gameplay, but it gets really hard), Cloning Clyde and Kingdom for Keflings. I'd mention Worms, but apparently there's an infinitely superior Worms game coming in the near future, so... yeah.

I'd say it's slower burning, more atmospheric with a melodic soundtrack and soft, dreamy colours. If you want a break from the sensory assaults of shooters etc. this game will definately provide a relaxing, thoughtful experience.

Except the last level, Lava World, which might be a bit frustrating but its worth it.

Try the trial, if you like it, I might finally have someone to play the co-op levels with :).
