Who watched it?
ER was my favorite show for a long, long time. I watched it religiously with my mom, then myself, up until season 13 or so after Noah Wyle left. I didn't watch much of season 14 but did catch up on TNT recently, and then I watched 15 this year.
I know lots of people stopped watching when George Clooney left after season 5, then more when Anthony Edwards' character died after season 8. It wasn't the same or very good anymore for me after Maura Tierney and Goran Visnjic left early this season, and then they had Parminder Nagra leave a couple episodes ago which was fucked, because why leave when there are like 5 episodes left?
Before the final episode tonight, they had a one-hour special with favorite scenes from all the seasons and all the main cast (except George Clooney :() talking about them. I'm kind of surprised I didn't cry.
My Thursday night still has Grey's Anatomy, but I'm gonna miss ER.
Did anyone else watch tonight? Did anyone else ever watch the show? It was #1 for 3 years, so you had to have liked it at some point. :) Let's talk about it.

I used to watch it on a pretty regular basis, but I kind of fell off the wagon around the time that Kovach (?) was named doctor. Was the finale good? I was suck in class and missed it

Kovac came in season 6, so that was pretty early on. You missed some good stuff when Greene was still there.
I liked the finale a lot. I say anyone who liked it ever should watch the one-hour recap thing. :)

So Clooney didn't come back at all for the final season? Too busy saving Darfur and boning hot chicks?

He had a big storyline like 2 or 3 episodes ago. Still with Juliana Marguiles on the series. :) He actually did something with an organ donor, and the kidney went to Dr. Carter, so it was neat.

I stopped after Dr. Greene died.
It ain't easy being Greene. :'(

I really wanted to get back onto ER since whenever I watched it I generally liked what I saw, but I'd gotten so into the habit of not watching it, it fell through.
That British Pakistani chick always seemed like an awesome character.

I cried so hard watching Dr Greene die. That episode was brutal. Great show, although I've only seen a handful of seasons. I'll have to watch the early stuff sometime, I don't think I've ever sat through a whole George Clooney episode which is strange as I really like him as an actor.
Biggest :lol :lol :lol goes to how they took out the bald doctor who used to be on Fame. Amazing :bow
This show must have had a huge budget towards the end, each episode had a film-look to it.
-
All I remember from Doc Greene's death episode is that an Abandoned Pools song was played during it.
Eels > ER in my life.
-
You must not have had someone close to you die. That episode had very little to do with ER actually and a lot to do with life and death.
-
I watched the finale last night, thought it was really well done.
-
You must not have had someone close to you die.
Have to.
-
Then you must be dead inside :'(
-
so did the hospital blow up or something?
-
A helicopter fell on it.
-
It is sorta unbelievable how long this show lasted. Farewell, ER.

Then you must be dead inside :'(
I prefer "emotionally unavailable". 8)

I cried really hard when they killed Greene, too.
I kind of thought the way they killed Romano made the show jump the shark. If it hadn't before then, it definitely did at that point. Guy gets his arm severed by a helicopter, then a helicopter falls on him and kills him.
so did the hospital blow up or something?
No, but that's how my brother swore it was going to end.
