I hear he has started to wallow in 19th century England now too. Malek is like an unsexy uncool Dr. Who.

so fucking funny, saved my evening from wondering if women lie and me trying to deny myself the inevitable truth that they do.
well, not quite, time for more alcohol

It's love, GG, but not in love.
I'm pakkit on the "other" board (no intentionally gay subtext there).
As for introducing myself, I'm a student at UPitt pursuing an English Major and thus dooming myself to a lifetime of poverty. Interests include stalking all of you motherfuckers, competitive Scrabble (not joking), DJing/hosting my radio show, and being a pretentious indie asshole.
Anyway, back to blue penis.

Relatively new to the scene. Have a weekly show at WPTS, the college station, where I play electronica/underground hip-hop/remixes/whatever the fuck I feel like. Continuing to learn my way around a turntable and starting to making mixes from my Mac(Crack)book. I've done shitty frat parties for chump change so far. Since I'm a freshman, I'm limited to only a show at the station, but I'll be applying for directorship ($$$) next semester. Next weeks show is Trip-Hop/IDM. Any recs? My current playlist has Yppah, Clark, Metronomy, Bonobo, Booka Shade, Venetian Snares and Vitalic.

Yeah, our site design sucks.
I know that the fact that it's college radio may make it seem less important, but it's honestly the only part of my college experience I've actually cared about so far. Music journalism is where I'm leaning with my writing major (again, poverty), so it'd be nice to actually contribute since I'm shit at most instruments. :lol

Hyoshi and Tiesto DJ. Hyp makes music. Brand new is going to school for music stuff.
There are two others i think, but I can't recall (sorry!)
I used to DJ out quite a bit but haven't really found much in new dance music which excites me. i have ableton and a controller but without that drive to seek out new music, there's not really a lot of motivation to learn my way around the program/equipment.

I will be next semester, not quite yet. Nashville :rock

twerd, I'd recommend checking out some nu-disco, I've been really into this genre of music lately: Aeroplane, Lindstrom, Terje Bakke, Prins Thomas, Ilja Rudman, Lifelike, Tensnake.
If you are into Booka Shade I'd recommend MANDY (duh), Matthew Dear, Ricardo Villalobos (though he's a bit more minimal), Luciano, Radioslave. For your more downtempo/ambient selections, Ulrich Schnauss is one of my favorites (especially "Monday Paracemetol"), also Thievery Corporation, The Album Leaf, Grayarea, The Rurals, and of course The Orb (my intro into the wonderful world of electronic music)
I do a bit of DJing for fun, if you are interested you can download some of my mixes at http://www.duky.org/mixes.html (http://www.duky.org/mixes.html), I spin mostly funky, electro and progressive house. My next mix will probably have some deep techy house influences though.
