Are there any anyone knows of? Something I can do while sitting at my desk, I already take frequent walks around the building and up and down the stairs. But when I gets this time of the year I always gain a few pounds from lack of going outside and swimming/canoeing/tennis etc.
or even something I can do in the comfort of my small apartment

Wear ankle weights. Since you go up and down stairs a lot, it'll give you a good exercise.

Kegels are the only thing I can think of. You could do some hand jive, but I don't know if that's a proven calorie burner

This depends on a degree of certain factors. For example, what type of pants, how big are the weights? etc.

Seriously, kegals and ass exercises. While the suggestion certainly sounds funny, there's nothing wrong with it at all, and no one will have any idea you're doing them.
