Good point.

I was remembering the Ford promotion you earlier linked to (thanks again), which gave away points, and briefly went offline so it could re-rig its own process so anyone who won could only be awarded one set of points.

But their revision was to link the entry to the Windows Live login? Or was it just email? All I remember is one guy here won 4200 MS Points, and I got 200 before "the magic died."

I've been using the caps to get free Wii points for Daddy Slime. While the Xbox and PS3 options give you direct codes, the Wii option gives you 200 points instead. I'm not interested in Rock Band so I just give him the points since I have a hacked Wii anyway.

I actually remembered to try this while on vacation, bought the pepsi, kept the cap, entered the codes while enjoying free wifi at the hotel, won a song, chose it and queued it for download. Golly, America is swell.
