I am kinda shocked by how blatantly lesbianic Jo is.  She's wearing jeans and shit and she's dressing up as Peter Fonda for Halloween.  Do you think the actress that played her ever ate out Tootie or Natalie behind the scenes?

Then again Natalie has a fucking hitler mustache on.

So is Twilight an accurate depiction of what it's like to be a teenage girl?  This is kinda self-hating and misogynistic.  It sorta reminds me of what Naomi Watt's masturbatory fantasy (a la Mulholland Drive) would be like if that flick were about teens.

Her skin is also basically translucent blue, so I am kinda identifying with her.

Didn't these books sell like a zillion fucking copies?  Why is the movie so low budget?  This acting is bad even by the standards of teeny bopper TV shit.

My vote goes to Twatlight, a heartwarming tale of a woman who one day discovers a fervid, funky haired beast and attempts to tame it with her stake.

Edit: Wait, you ARE watching Twilight. Yikes. I was forced to see that mess in the theatre unfortunately. I can sympathize with whatever pain you might be mentally feeling right now.

Holy shit, I am actually lolling.  Some of this is so terribly overwrought--it's daytime soap opera bad.

Yep.

Have you gotten to the effects laden baseball scene yet that showcases the "vampires" amazing speed?

Also, for a movie where a significant amount of its running time so far has been made up of Bella and Edward gazing at each other, it's a pretty big disservice that Edward is obviously wearing more lipstick than Bella.

You wasted the bandwidth on 1080p?

Also, zomg Edward has an awesome grey pea coat and I want it soooooooo bad.

I am still working on my own vampire fiction project, by the way, along with my RPG/text adventure project.

Can you write me into your vampire fiction?  Like 70% of the music I listen to is gloomy post-punk and old school goth, and I really want to be dead.  Describe me as having a really admirable pea coat and unique boots.  With metal plates and shit.

Pretty good rating.  It's described as "Unsettling and spine-chilling low-budget British horror, with effective and disturbing scares".

You'll probably love it.

I'll check it.  I'll watch even the shittiest horror, largely because I feel like I have seen most of the good shit by my age :(

Have you seen the 70's The Children? The one about toxic killer zombie kids that kill their parents with hugs. It's a great cheesy horror flick that's well worth seeking out. It's even got Manfridini's Friday the 13th score in it (What I mean is that it actually is the Friday score. He later just took all that was there and put it into the Friday movie).

Ugh, that last hour and 20 minutes dragged on badly.  The beginning was legitimately entertaining in how terrible it was, but it got boring once the actual "romance" started.

But still, I managed to watch it until the credits, which means it is by default better than TDK.  Sorry, I'm not kidding.  If I can't sit through your movie without falling asleep, it's bad.  TDK = bad.  Twilight =  not as bad.

it's a lot of hand-wringing "oooo, our nation's daughters are in trouble", but it's well acted.

Also, that Facts of Life episode was awesome.  After chunky Natlie almost gets raped, the other girls guilt trip her for not wanting to be social and hang out in early 80s NYC at night, even though she had, you know, almost been raped.  And then she goes to a self defense class where the teacher guilt trips her for being dumb and almost getting raped.

It was actually very good. The part where Edward ran up the mountain was omgsobad though. And I wanted to die during the baseball scene.

Do you really think I'm pretending to enjoy Twilight? It was easily the best movie of 2008, with Burn After Reading being a close second.

i mentioned it because i was too lazy to write an entire paragraph for it to justify the creation of a new thread just now.  I'm watching BSG, reading Pathfinder RPG stuff and checking forums

and good good.

I watched half of twilight while playing risk with my nerds friends tonight, the movie is fucking horrible and the effects make smallville look like a visual masterpiece.

I bet that if edwar cullen was some ugly troll bella would have got a restraining order against him, fucking stalker.

Ew. He looks like a a butch lesbian.

it's actually really quite good.

I can see how a company was able to turn writing adventures into a successful business venture if they're all consistently this well done.
