Because mine are. August-November it was like. 80 bucks a month? Then December it was like TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY, but it was cold, so. In January+Feb it was FOUR HUNDRED AND SEVENTY THREE, which I portested and they sent the guy to re-read the meter and were like "Lol yeah". So for March we pretty much turned the heat off and wore our coats indoors and were really careful- ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY ONE DOLLARS.
Is this insane or is it just me? The gas company doesn't seem to think it's a problem.

No, gas rates are relatively cheap. You just need to identify anything that might cause energy inefficiency. One dude complained about his $350 bill and his window was open in the wintertime...just sayin'

I'm all electric. I got whopped for a 240 bill in February.
