I guess so, but that isn't so hard considering that Nirvana just wasn't that, you know, GOOD.

Dave Grohl:  "Hmmm, In Utero really wasn't profitable sounding enough.  Good thing I notified Geffen of Steve Albini's subversive production styles before it could reach the market!  I've been dying to make something more accessible, but I guess someone else did the dying for me! MUAHAHAHAHAHA"

The Color and the Shape is better than anything Nirvana ever did

I'm a huge Foo fan, I have seen them 5 times now, but nothing tops Nirvana's Unplugged album. Sorry.

That being said, Colour and the Shape is one of my top 5 albums of the 90's. When everyone else was making their version of grunge, alt-rock or whatever else was in fashion that minute ... Grohl puts out a solid straight-up rock album and kills them all.

"Monkey Wrench," "My Hero" and "Everlong" are great, but the rest of the album is meh. To say "The Color and the Shape" is one of the best albums of the 90s doesn't say much about the decade.

Don't talk to a Canadian about music. They listen to Rush and Steely Dan.

It's like talking to the Amish about their favorite version of the Ipod.

No wonder Cheebs like them. He probably listens to Abba on his ipod as he travels to his hair stylist on his segway.

actually, I listen to all kinds of jazz and have talked about it here a bit before.  and dave brubeck is a bit too light for my tastes...my parent's kind of jazz.

my point is that the Foo Fighters are basically what happened if Kenny G was in Miles Davis' group on Bitches Brew and broke off to make the shit he makes.

Colour and the Shape is the only decent FF album. Everything else sucks. They release too much stuff.

Cher has classics, if you disagree you're just playing a hardass denying reality.

Creed...I understand the hate but their first album is classic.

But the very idea that "Foo Fighters>Nirvana" is repulsive. And I have nothing against Foo Fighters, I like their stuff, but come on. Nevermind and In Utero shit on their entire discography
