Pro tip: dont buy day one. Ive been burned a few times now by discs with fucked up transfers and/or audio issues (Slumdog Millionaire being the most recent one - Ive never had a DVD/BD with such fucked up equalization issues) that most of the review sites glossed right over. Wait until AVS or some place like that has overanalyzed the shit out of it.
alternative way to get burned: subtitle snafus :gloomy
not buying right away is SPECIALLY important on catalog re-releases. so many not-even-upscaled DVD transfers on the format, it's sick. on the other hand, correctly remastered stuff looks AMAZING. last year's Kubrick discs are to die for, but my current classic reference disc is Zulu.
