i apparently didn't file my 2007 state taxes.  I owed the state of virginia $50.

i was so pissed this year

i lived in nyc for 9 weeks and owed $100 to ny state.

Yeah I have to pay $168 4 times this year just because I live in NYC.   :maf

I dunno, I kind of view high local taxes in places like NYC as an "awesomeness" surcharge.  Sure you could live somewhere that doesn't have taxes like that, but odds are it would probably suck nuts.

Yeah man, my wife is getting some inheritance from her grandpa but we aren't gonna get cash because they'd tax like 46% of it.  Crazy.   :maf  So we're putting it in an ira.
