Stolen from GAF: http://www.theaveragegamer.com/2009/02/07/remove-your-credit-card-details-from-xbox-live-online/
I tried to remove mine but to my surprise MS stealth removed it even though they said they can't do it online when I sent an email to them like a year ago (or maybe it wasn't used for a long time?).

The whole "remove your credit card from Xbox.com" thing wasn't implemented a year ago. It's only recent – maybe they added this in for the web marketplace and such? Who knows. It's a long-awaited feature though, that's for sure.

well yeah but I only sent an email and they told me that i have to call MS support but never bothered.
whatever the reason though, i am glad my CC is no longer listed.
-
mine is still on there, but expired. I wonder if I can even purchase points and stuff with it (haven't had to buy points in about 2 years.) I hear they fuck up your account if your subscription rolls over and they can't charge your card.
Pretty fucking ridiculous in this day and age.
-
It wont work if you have an active subscription via Credit Card
My Subscription renews tomorrow so I guess I will do it next year, lol.
-
They won't let me remove a card that expired 3 years ago because they say it's part of an active subscription. I've been paying with prepaid cards for years.
Even if it was an active subscription, why should that matter? It's prepaid, they don't need my card anymore once my subscription payment is processed.

I called them today (25th) and asked them to disable the auto-renew. Come 1:30am, I am kicked from the service (well, my game locked - i was in the middle of Gears online). Sign back on, and I get told my service is ended, so I say REVERT TO SILVER
Log onto xbox.com, and click REMOVE and it's gone just like that. I am a free man. Gonna go swoop a $30 year card tomorrow. Maybe just buy it online.

free men :rock

Where are cards on sale for $30 right now?
I'm going to be waiting a long time for an opportunity like that. I bought $30 year cards the last two times so I'm paid up through 2011 :lol
-
I had set my account to Do Not Auto-renew a while back, and I just realized that my account had expired within the past few days, so I went in and removed my card.
-
How do you set it to not auto-renew from the web? Did you call? I saw no options at all to change the renew
-
i've had my xbox live account linked to a expired card since 2003
i haven't been charged for my xbox live subscription since; my reward for being an outstanding gamer-- it's like being an icon only with tangible benefits.

but you look like reirom so i guess there are some drawbacks

TBH, I don't even remember how I did it now. It seems like it was an option from inside the Xbox itself. Maybe it let me do it because my current subscription at the time was on a subscription card instead of my credit card.
