I'm still on the fence because of the $15 pricetag and the possibility that the online community will be barren due to so few people buying it.
-
I'm getting since I got 1000 pts free last week. Even if I didn't, I'd try to find a way to pay for it. VOOT is worth it and I've never owned it on a console.
-
I'm getting BT. VOOT is too dependent on other people for enjoyment for the $15 I think.
-
I might need to pick up more ms points, but most definitely I'm getting it. Probably can't play it until I'm done finals though.

Banjo-Tooie
-
It's out Wednesday? I am hesitant on picking it up. I didn't like Banjo-Tooie when I played it years ago, but Banjo-Kazooie was the first XBLA I got all achievements for and Nuts&Bolts the only 360 game I got 1000/1000 in. Maybe it's worth it just to complete the chain.

I'm getting Banjo Tooie, FUCK VOOT you fucking mecha nerdbitches
Bears > Mechas

From the VOOT announcement thread:
Wow, this is gonna be awesome
Do Crazy Taxi next
smh
-
I'll wait for some reviews and try out the demo. I remember liking the original game in the arcade, but that was with the whole tank control set up and cockpit. If this plays fast and crazy like, say, ZoE2 but with MP, i'm all over it.
-
I'm getting Banjo-Tooie instead. VOOT can wait.

Yea, I like VOOT. But since none of my friends are buying it it's going to rot on my hard drive with no one to play with.

You could replace VOOT with the title of any dlc game I've ever bought

Getting VOOT Day one
-
This holds up a LOT better than I would have guessed. It's funny how things age. I probably considered these some of the most impressive graphics during its time, but now it's like "lol, N64 coulda done this"
-
The hell is VOOT? Is this a well known videogame acronym like SMB or FF?

Eh, I'm not feeling the controls...
-
Game owns, controls take a little practice to get use to though.
-
no gold :(
-
I went to buy this and it said I have 1100 points and this costs 1200. :(
-
I got it, but the internet in my house went down shortly thereafter and I'm typing this on a computer at Staples. FML. :'(
I did play a little, though. The controls aren't bad, and the achievements are really easy. Once I update my achievement list, you'll all be able to see what I got in a half-hour of playtime. :-*
-
I didn't mind the controls but the original VOOT had a different setup, right? I recall having to use both sticks to move, not having one stick move and the other look around.
Am I thinking of another game?

No, you're right. You can switch to the classic setup in the options menu.
Nine more ranked matches, and I'll have an easy 200 points. :D

Is it easy to find online games?

Is it easy to find online games?
Yeah, there's people playing. It's not hard to find a match.
-
Goddamn, this game is so much fun once you understand the controls. I switched to the twinsick controls and they're much simpler. I'm still not that good, but I managed to win 4 online matches today. :)

Twinstick controls with jump mapped to the left analog and jump cancel mapped to the right analog is the most natural feeling control scheme I've found. Been pwning japanese players for the past few hours. :pimp
