Would be on Thursday then, or is it some exclusive deal? This is one of few multiplatform games I'll probably end up getting on PS3, so a demo would be nice.

Pretty sure it's a 360 exclusive, and I think it's a multiplayer demo.
And yeah, maybe when it's closer to release I'll get a good idea of what system I'll buy it on. In videos the PS3 version doesn't have tearing and Grin, for some reason, usually makes their games better on that system. Plus I have the non-pooplock verison of Radd unlocked in the PS3 version since I got Rearmed on the PS3. Problem is really the controls depending on how they're mapped.
-
multiplayer? :yuck
-
Someone got sum Gold Cards for me
-
i gave away a free month of gold to someone at work yesterday
-
yep i agree that it sucks.
shooting at someone else has never been so unsatisfying and the controls are clunky.
-
i like it
-
I'm not even going to download this. I'm stoked for Bionic Commando, but I couldn't care less about the multiplayer.
-
why even put MP in this game
-
why even put MP in this game
Because if you don't put multiplayer and/or co-op in a game, people bitch about it nonstop.
-
why even put MP in this game
I'll raise you a question:
Why even put out MP demos.
What sold me on Lost Planet was the really fun SP demo. If they I had just put out an MP demo I dunno if I would have picked up the game day 1. Most of the games that have had MP demos and not SP demos I've passed on the full games. Companies should just put out a demo that has BOTH if they want to show off the MP.

Anyone want to make an evilbore list for the BC contest at capcom?
http://www.capcom-unity.com/snow_infernus/blog/2009/04/29/bionic_commando_demo_is_live_contest__win_64000_microsoft_points_the_easy_way
-
sure
-
Here's what the contest is
* Everyone DL's the demo
* Everyone changes their motto to Bionic Commando = RAD
* Post your GT
* Post your Capcom unity tag (register there)
Then I will collect all of you up (need 7) and post it to Capcom guy, and if we win, everyone gets 8000 points and a BCR code download
Everyone on that same list can enter with the same list as well I believe, giving us at least 8 chances to win
-
Need 5 more
-
How much time would be involved with this?
Is it a during the week day thing or a weekend thing?
-
Um... it takes a grand total of 15 minutes
* Download the demo
* Change your motto
* Register on Capcom site
profit
-
I meant the actual playing part. Do we all have to play on the same team at specific times? What are the goals necessary to win or is it just random?
-
wut
No we dont play the demo at all. You just need to download it.
-
It's in my queue. I just have to turn my 360 on when I get home. I'll change my info when I get home from work since I leave in 4 min..
So count me in.
-
You have to register on Capcom site, so post your info when you are done
-
Count me in Demi.
Gamertag = Arde0
Capcom Unity tag = Arde0

Is this open to Canadians? If so add me to the list
-

I think the US thing is for the Lunchbox only. You can still enter your name but I dont think you can submit a list, on the off-chance you win.

I cant find a game at all :|
-
This game fucking SUCKS
It wouldnt let me swing or grapple on anything 3/4 the time.
-
game would be awesome in single player, but multiplayer sucks. They did make the swinging more complicated than it needed to be. It should have been a tap to zip, hold to swing instead of always L is swing, double press A to zip.
-
I'm probably not gonna win any points either. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME
-
I'm trying to swing on things yes
You know like how Bionic Commando is played
-
wow, there is a one hit kill rifle in the multiplayer. Nice jon creating the multiplayer, guys.
swinging is fun though, it just takes too many commands to do simple actions.
-
Play more games. A shot to anywhere on the body isn't instant death unless it's instagib, but it's the point in instagib
-
I was too late. :'(
Good luck to you guys though. I hope you win. :)
-
I was too late as well! Plus, hey, I don't live in the USA and that might have spoiled the list.
The video-blog made the multiplayer look unique and fun. I've added it to my download queue; I like the new web-based store at xbox.com. I tend to completely forget to download demo versions of games I want.

Does nobody on here read. Look closer. I left some details out. Details that you are going to fill in.
-
Maybe if they didn't work on 18 fucking games at once, it would have been a lot more fun. Better yet, if only Capcom did this in house....
Capcom isn't exactly immune to failure
-
I can see that there will be a great single player game in here with some potentially enjoyable multiplayer. This demo was a terrible idea.
The swing mechanics seem like they will be fantastic, but there is quite a learning curve here. Jumping right into multiplayer is about the last thing you'd want to do with unfamiliar mechanics. It simply creates frustration.
Then they go ahead and choose a map set at night time. I mean, come on, the visuals in the game can look fantastic yet this is about as bland an area as they could have selected. They should have gone for something bright and memorable.
The framerate is also highly bothersome. They unlocked v-sync and allowed it to cross the 30 fps barrier. It results in a very unpolished looking game. Screen tearing is present 100% of the time. If the PC version were releasing in the same time frame, I'd go with that version. At this point, the PS3 version is probably my first choice as they used vertical sync with that version (this is also based on the BCR engine, which ran better on PS3 anyways).
Maybe if they didn't work on 18 fucking games at once, it would have been a lot more fun. Better yet, if only Capcom did this in house....
This is why the demo was a bad idea. I really think the single player portion of the game will turn out to be excellent. Rearmed was the single best "remake" of an old 2D game this gen. Nothing else comes close to matching its quality. GRIN is also divided up into different teams in various cities. The GRIN which created "Wanted", for instance, is not the GRIN that has been working on Bionic Commando.
-
We still need 1 more person btw
-
All done
GT -zerohero375
Cap-unity - zerohero375
motto changed
demo dl'd
-
If another name is needed
GT: linkzg64
capcom unity: swaggaz
I'll change the motto or whatever else if needed
-
Anyone can enter using the same names, it's not just one entry. If we all submit, that's like 8 chances for each of us.
-
so, what exactly do you do? get the 8 names and send them and submit them? where to? oh ok, I see.
what people are involved in this? whose gamer tags should I send to them?

I sent a message using your list. :pimp
-
ok, I sent a list
-
sent a list too.
-
:lol Managed to sit through one match, and that was easily one of the shittiest MP experiences I've had in the past few years. I'm sure the campaign will be neat, but that was just vile.
-
anyone still buying this game?
the reviews so far haven't been too kind
-
Edge (6/10) is the only one I've seen so far.
-
game informer and edge
and it's not the scores that bother me, it was this:
Which brings us back to those restrictions we mentioned earlier, and our biggest gripe for the game thus far: in order to keep you from straying too far from where the developers want you to go, they’ve employed three of the most irritating mechanics ever put in a videogame. The first is “nuclear fallout,” a remnant of the bomb that was set off over Ascension City. It’s a clever explanation, but really it’s nothing more than blue haze reminiscent of the Kryptonite fog in Superman 64—only more annoying because it kills you almost instantly. Basically anytime you swing somewhere too far off the main path, nuclear fallout kicks in and you have precious few seconds to get back to safety. The problem? The size of the main path varies—sometimes you can navigate around entire buildings; sometimes your path is limited down a narrow street. And the restriction isn’t limited to horizontal movement—sometimes going too high or too low will kill you as well, and rappelling to the top of any given building will sometimes reward you in finding ammo or a collectible, or at other times a near-instant death.
The second restrictive mechanic is water, and also has a reasonable explanation: your bionic arm is so heavy that your character can’t swim. The result is as cheap as it was six years ago in GTA III—fall in the water and you lose all mobility, drowning within seconds. If you’re lucky enough to be near a grab-able structure you can pull yourself to safety, but you drown so fast that most times you won’t have a chance to re-orient yourself before you’re staring at a game over screen. Which makes us wonder—why does a Bionic Commando have the lung capacity of an under-developed fetus?
The final restriction is fire, and although it thankfully appears much less often, getting even remotely close to flames will kill you instantly. We’re talking s’more-roasting distance, and after a couple of quick and inexplicable deaths, we soon acquired a Frankenstein-like aversion to fire
All three of these restrictions combine to result in some frustrating, confusing moments that make you feel more like a fragile child than a super warrior. Combat only left us feeling more inferior—while character movement and aiming is decent enough, Bionic Commando features an absurdly large targeting reticule that makes it feel more like you’re framing enemies for a picture than making pinpoint ballistic attacks.
sounds pretty shitty to me
-
Will get at $20.
Supporting GRIN for the awesome REarmed only goes so far.
-
That's a shame. Crapcom smears its mark of poo on what could have been another great Swedish product.
-
Will get at $20.
This.
-
yeah it is capcoms fault that they outsourced the game to incapable developers
god i hope blue castle is up to the task with dead rising 2
