I'm having a bit of trouble finding the damn thing in stores. YOu mean to tell me you have Devil May Cry 3 SE for pc (who the fuck plays DMC on pc?!) but no BG2?! Also, is there a dvd version? Can I even play BG2 on XP?
I can't wait to play it though. After that I'm going through Planescape Torment, Fallout 1 and 2, and Icewind Dale.
I have some catching up to do. 8)

Not as good as the original anyway.

I hear different. From multiple sources. I've never even heard the original mentioned...anywhere.

I've never played 2, but one is the shit. I love it.
Fallout is fucking digital sex. I've wanked to it a few times.

I don't believe it is possible to hate it. I have it, I just need to play it. The original is still hot to me though.

So can I run the original release of BG2 on XP?

For whatever reason, I don't really think of Torment as an RPG. It's all about the story and characters in it - actual tactics and combat are rather easy. Overall package, BG2 is the winner, although Torment has the better overall plot, story structure, and (some) better characters.
BG1 is also good. It starts out a bit tougher than the sequel does, though in the end I think BG2 is the harder game. Unfortunately, after playing BG2, it's very difficult to go back to the first game's iteration of the engine. There's a mod somewhere that lets you play BG2 using the BG1 engine, but last I checked it was pretty buggy.
