Title: How do I use a regualr headset with 360?

I have a wired headset at work we use for bullshit stuff. It's got a mic line and a headphone line. If I get a 2.5mm jack, can I hook it up to the controller? I guess that'd work for mic, but mabes not for listening? In which case I could just direct the voice via TV, but whatev. I just don't wanna pay retardo prices for the Official MS set

i saw some adapters and hacks somewhere, google it.
