Title: Windows ME: Did it support USB storage devices out of the box?
Post by: Ecrofirt on May 10, 2009, 06:31:52 PM
I've got about 15 mionutes before I head off to a computer client who just upgraded to a new Vista rig after being on Windows ME forever. He'd like his documents and whatnot transferred over to his new PC, but I'm having a hard time finding out if ME supported USB storage devices out of the box. I know 98 didn't and I've been able to find downloads for the drivers for Windows 98, but I haven't have luck with the same search for Windows ME.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes

Thanks demi. I've been scrambling trying to figure out if I should quickly download a small Linux distro (DSL) and burn that to CD just in case.
