Stop milking this shit, Harmonix. :maf
-
lol but guys Ten is finally out omg
-
What's worse is that a good chunk of the setlist is from Ten. Have fun paying $60 for Better Man and getting some more garbage you don't want!
-
weak
-
hope its importable
-
God I fucking loathe Pearl Jam. I hate when "Alive" comes on in a mystery playlist.
-
Outside the Beatles disc, I'm officially done with music games for at least a decade.
-
What's wrong with making a Pearl Jam game? I mean, TEN is out, and it's their best work, so I don't really get the logic... but I even moreso don't get the hating.
FWIW, I'll be getting the Beatles disc, and even bag LEGO RB as long as I can confirm pre-purchase that there are no stupid "build something with this pile of bricks" sequence in which the interactivity consists of holding down a single button for a long period of time.
And I won't be buying Pearl Jam Rock Band, but I'm not hating them for putting it out.

Pearl Jam has other albums? ???

Pearl Jam?

They haven't moved albums since the mid-90s. They don't have a giant fanbase, making this game a niche product.
edit:
album sales
9.6 million
5.9 million
4.7 million
1.4 million
1.6 million
718,000
500,000
704,000
Not a good trend

This would be awesome if DLC hadn't been invented. And it was a different band.

I'd thought that was partially a concious choice on their part, to not be the biggest band in the world.

Man, Pearl Jam sucks.
-
well we're still waiting for RB 2 in Australia :(

Doesn't mean people don't want to play their songs - if anything it means they don't want to play their new songs lol

Eep. Man, I feel for you.
There were several people locally who were super excited when RB1 was announced for Japan, but NOTHING has come of that. I assume they were getting ready to just localize RB2, and that maybe X Japan's song was part of an initial licensing effort to include Japanese artists... But I bet Harmonix is just overwhelmed at how stubborn and selfish major Japanese music labels are. Look at how long it took iTunes to launch here, and the craptacular costs that are involved with the tracks.

That would mean they don't have enough popular material to sustain an entire game that people want to pay $60 for, right? Can you make an entire game around "Even Flow," "Alive," "Jeremy," and ""Better Man"?
-

By not making videos or by consciously making boring music that only a few people want to listen to?
-
Used to be a huge fan of the band. Not sure I'd buy this, though. I would however, buy Corduroy alone.

Maybe they were inspired by Paul McCartney?

Who knows. Honestly, given the huge amounts of money people waste on these stupid games and toy accessories - anything is possible.

hot gooey pearl jam all over my face

Yeah.
Though they seem to want back in a little bit now, with the rerelease, new album work and this.
