Shooting was fine once you worked your way up to something with a scope.

Check out the 2009 mod.  It makes the graphics look close to Crysis and it fixes the shooting and makes it more like a normal FPS shooting.

I liked the shooting.  Watching an enemy's movement, then aiming slightly above his head to account for bullet drop, distance and next position before firing a shot was awesome.  It wasn't too tactical where messing up meant death, but it also really let you play smart.


I'll still check out that 2009 mod eventually

I thought the shooting worked too. It gave the game kind of an RPG vibe, in that when you first start out you have a really weak weapon and you have to be really careful to keep from dying, but as you play through the game and get better weapons and armor you can fight stronger enemies to get even better weapons and armor.
