Title: What phones do you guys have?

I quite like it, as an iPhone substitute. It's incredibly janky on the current official firmware but if you install a current leaked one it improves the phone by miles. Touch screen works great for me, but I know some people have issues with touch screens in general.

I have an LG Envy through Verizon. Noting fancy, but all I use my phone for is making calls and playing Tetris, so it works perfectly.

Post by: Cyanista on May 21, 2009, 01:30:34 PM: I actually hate cell phones. I resisted having one until 2006 or something, and then I got a really old one. It broke a few months ago, and I had to put aside my fears of government tracking through built-in GPS and get a new one. :(

I miss my crappy old phone, still, with it's 36 text message inbox/outbox limit and its black-on-gray screen. Though...the new one does this adorable thing when you type in numbers. They appear on the screen in a whorl of colored light. SO CUTE.

Pretty good phone/blackberry substitute. I don't have a plan with unlimited internet though, which wouldn't come in handy since I live in a 3G hole. Otherwise, love it for texting.

I want to pass it on to my fiance and get the new Pre sometime this year. The only complaint I have is it lacks a flash and the camera is only 1.3MP.

Haven't had one since 2002. Well, technically I had one for a while when I had dsl instead of cable a year or so ago, but I ended up switching. LAND LINES = OLD AND BUSTED. CELL ONLY = NEW HOTTNESS. I wish there was some company that offered cable, internets and cell service.

edit: the screen is quite fragile though. I was at Cedar Point with it in my pocket it and it got a slight crack in it after going through a rough hill on a roller coaster. It's definitely not as strong as the iPhone's screen, but apparently RIM is fixing that for the Storm 2.

Anyone that has an iPhone and is going to the beach or camping or just fucking around outside should pick one of these up. It's the Logitech Pure Fi Anywhere 2 (the 2 series is compatible with the iPhone). It's a portable speaker system/docking station with a 10 hour rechargable lithium battery and it fucking rocks. I was a little wary about getting Logitech speakers but my concern was misplaced as this sounds pretty damn awesome for its size. I love being able to plug my phone into it and turn on Slacker radio when we're out at the beach. It's a great little toy for only about $140 over at Best Buy (hell, I think you can get it even cheaper online). I even picked another one up for work.
