Pre-E3 2009: Zephyr Blows into Town
It's like Twister except that you're the tornado and Helen Hunt isn't around.
May 29, 2009 - If you've ever dreamt of tearing a house apart as one of nature's most destructive forces, Konami's got you covered.
Zephyr: Rise of the Elementals is coming to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii this fall from Loose Cannon Studios and Konami. The specifics of the story are a bit hazy at this point, but the gist seems to be that you're a being that can control a massive tornado and bad guys have convinced you that the only way to save a trusted hero is to destroy everything in your way.
"The more you destroy, the bigger you grow as you work against time based, collection and point challenges in the search for hidden elements and enemies from another world," a Konami release said. "Zephyr provides expansive sandbox-type gameplay and real time destruction allowing gamers to destroy what they want, when they want, where they want."
In your fight against the evil Omegaton, you'll be able to team up with a friend for some co-op gameplay in the game's various levels, which range from farms to trailer parks to even more crowded areas. Clearly it's early, but look for more information on IGN about Zephyr: Rise of the Elementals as it becomes available. For more E3 news, check out IGN's E3 launch pad.
