Men of War is great but BALLS hard. And that's coming from me, someone who normally has no problems with strategy games.

King's Bounty and the Sword of the Stars collection are both good deals. KB has been posted about here repeatedly for good reason, but Sword of the Stars is for those kind of folk that want a Master of Orion game but don't want the depth (and slow pace) of something like GalCiv2. Space Rangers 2 for $12 is also awesome.
