Maybe because it's an actual game being developed for the Wii by a 3rd party and not a half-assed port/sequel/shovelware/exercise game?
nfags are yearning for a Halo killer so they latch on to every B grade FPS as the messiah that will cause every third party in the world to make only Wii exclusive games

Halo 2 looks better than this. ???
This is going to be $30 right?

No.

GEIST WAS AWESOME, DUDE!
FUCKING GHOSTS AND SHIT. M RATED NINTENDO GAME. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Wii FPS screen-pushing really sucks. You don't have to push the screen, the options make it so you can adjust how far you move the reticle before the screen moves, and how fast it does it.
It seemed like the movement was always leaning to the left. Stupid player, control scheme problem or the game itself?
Wii FPS screen-pushing really sucks.
Are you just trying to get a rise out of people?
Halo is popular probably because whoever the hell was lining up for the midnight launch of a green and black monolith from microsoft needed to validate their purchase until the pc ports started rolling in. And LAN. I've played enough multi at a friends house to be disgusted with the halo universe in addition to the eww eww molasses controls. Most "aiming" is lining up via strafing.spoiler (click to show/hide)Mostly serious here. But getting a rise out of a people is a bonus[close]
edit: Not saying I'm hyped for HVS presents The Conduit.
Actually, Haze proved that mediocre looking FPSs can get hype if they are PS3 exclusive, and Killzone 2 proved that PS3 exclusive FPSs can get hype even if the developer has a bunky track record. I'm sure if Conduit was a PS3 exclusive, there'd be a pretty similar distinguished mentally-challenged fellow jamboree happening over there, just with different avatars.
Thank God it's not a PS3 game or we'd see an avalanche of stupid avatars and a 100 MB BruceLeeRoy OP. As it is, I've only seen one Conduit avatar. I think we dodged a bullet.

You said you liked the controls in Corruption ???
I watched some youtube, I might pick this up out of morbid curiosity. I mean Halo gets ungodly praise yet it has both terrible art and clunky gunplay as well.spoiler (click to show/hide)or maybe I want Conduit inside me[close]
Wii FPS screen-pushing really sucks. The Wii Far Cry game had a way around this. I think that if you held down a button, the cursor would stick in place but the screen would move as you waggled. Was supposed to work well.

Corruption is nothing like a competitive FPS. It has lock on for fucks sake
I didn't think Liberation was really all that good. It was a real let-down for me.
Also, I would never call High Voltage Software unproven. They are certainly proven. Proven to generate garbage at a statistically significant level. Yeah, EA Redwood Shores managed to break their crap-cycle, but one case does not indicate a trend.
I don't think the Conduit is going to be terrible, this seems to be one of their games that truly reaches and attains the level of serviceable. The only reason anyone would give a shit about this game is if it were exclusive to a console, though.
