Title: Wow, I am lucky to quit retail! Metro cars collide in D.C.

So the Red Line, right near where I'd get on, just had two Metro cars collide head on.  At least two dead, fifty-five injured.  People still left in the cars and fire crews rolling out "mass casualty recovery".  Its going to be ugly.

I used to get on Silver Spring to Shady Grove every Monday between 5:00 to 5:45, which would put me right in the middle of this disaster.  Talk about a break, eh?

Also, this is an above ground area with single tracking operations - so one of the operators was on the wrong track or was going too fast.  Want to bet it has to do with a cell phone?

Whoa, that sucks. We always take the Red Line whenever my wife and I go visit her sister.

So far there's only one survivor. Miraculously he doesn't have a scratch on him.

Holy fuck, I was just in DC and riding the Metro everywhere (mostly orange line tho)... that's pretty fucked up.
