Man assuming you already know him, this guy is insane. Fucking quality all over this mixtape. If this is a mixtape I can't imagine what the retail album is going to sound like. Dude's got a crazy flow and some pretty decent rhymes! Well the mixtape is free so be sure to check it out. I included some youtube samples..

Shit is hot.. download it asap if you are a true hiphop fan :)

Its pretty good, I just listened to it while I was at the gym. There's some obscure references though. Ron Mercer? lol
-
I'm listening to this right now as well, it's pretty hot. I think I enjoy Wale just because he was the first rapper I ever truly listened to and got into (I'm pretty new to rap.). Wale's new mixtape is hot too.
-
Yeah this guy is the future, just needs to stop talking about women all the time.
-
I remember hearing Jay-Z signed him and thinking "ah, another rapper's career cut short", then never listening to him. But fuck man, I heard that Dead Presidents remix earlier today and was very impressed.
I downloaded this, plus Wale's mixtape. The guest list on Wale's is pretty awesome btw
-
Link to Wale's mixtape plz? Or just tell me the name of it.
Also, anyone know when the Clipse new album suppose to come out? I'm loving their new single:

Clipse get fucked over so much who knows when their album will get released
-
Smh, so true about the Clipse. thx
-
Yea....this dude is sweet. Half way done. He can rap, avoids mind numbingly bad choruses (for the most part), some nice lines, etc
Flow wise he reminds me of Jay.

September. They're in complete control of this new album thanks to the huge stack of money Columbia Records gave them. So if it doesn't release in September, it's their own damn fault. The Kinda Like A Big Deal video is out, and it's kind cool IMO, and the I'm Good (just a terrible single rap-wise, but I like the beat) video just wrapped. I hope they do well this time, but they're in control this time, I think.
Checking out this Wale now...
-
I thought the I'm Good beat was meh. Pitchfork kinda summed it up imo
No, this is a 2009-era Pharrell production, and hoo boy, the difference is crystal clear. Garish cocktail-jazz keyboards, weak snares, and Pharrell's endless, irritating squeaking-- "I'm Good" is the same atrocious beat he's been peddling since "Allure". He might go down in history as the first major rap producer to be completely undone by the discovery of Mel Bay's Jazz Piano Chords. If your first thought upon hearing Snoop Dogg's "Sexual Eruption" was, "Man, I bet Clipse would just kill this," then you're in luck.
-
Wow Wale is woeful.

The raps are worse than the beat, IMO. I miss the experimental HHNF beats :\. The problem is CHAD "SHIT-ASS" HUGO, fucking with the formula. HHNF was Pharrell-only. At least the video will be ball-tastic.

Hmmm so I should listen to a 50 Cent album for the first time since high school? If it's bad I'm holding you responsible Greenman!
BISD...dunno. Hasn't it been scrapped and re-done multiple times? He's slowly becoming Dr Dre, ie so afraid new music won't be accepted that he refuses to put it out until its "perfect" - something that will never be achieved. He dominated during a time when people were buying albums, and now that people aren't buying them he's struggling while Lil Wayne shines. That clearly pisses him off beyond measure lol
note: I don't like 50
-
omg the youf of today smh
-
I don't think 50 could make a new album with all AAA quality.
I really really doubt it. Power of the dollar was his only great album.
-
JCole..yawn
More new Clipse please.

love the Warm Up, not a bad track on the whole album

The Warm Up>>>Back to the Future
By far. I've never been a huge 9th Wonder fan - he's got so much uninspired, lazy production, he rarely switches his drums up, etc. But there's no denying that he's made many killer beats. Overall on this mixtape his work is lackluster, like b-side quality at best.
The actual songs aren't much better for the most part. It's alright, but pretty damn disappointing.
I wonder what his album will sound like. Most artists in different genres will put out an EP or something before an album. Rap artists spend so much time unleashing tons of mixtape material that they are often burnt out by the time it comes to make an album. IE you release some popular, critically acclaimed mixtapes, get recognition, then get a record deal, get your advance money, and slowly begin losing the passion/drive.

HOLY SHIT WHY DIDN'T I DISCOVER PACDIV EARLIER. SO GOOD.
:bow Pacific Division :bow2

Also, "I'm Good" is growing on me in a major way. Malice's video blog got me excited for the video, too.
-
PacDiv? smh at this Del wannabe.
-
None of these guys are even on the level of Will Smith smh
J Cole is still the best of the lot though.
