It was a good movie. Not sure If I should say what the movie was really about...oh wait...we got spoiler tags lol

Its about some dude that gets captured in a small Mayan/Aztec? tribe. He has to get back to his wife but gets chased by the evil other tribe (they are from the larger tribes that actually built the structures and performed sacrafices). Turns out to be a Hunters becoming the Hunted type of movie

People are saying that this is Gibson's best, but I don't think it's anti-Semitic enough.

No Antisemitism in this movie! Well, I didn't pick up on any vibes.

The imagery is awesome and holy shit did he not peel away from gruesome imagery. I guess I should expect this after seeing Braveheart and Passion of the Christ but there is some "Holy shit thats awesome omg" moments in this movie when it comes to gore.

Visually this movie looks amazing. I'm really interested in it, although I probably won't see it in the theater; I have to take my brother to see Eragon on the 15th ( :(), and a week later I want to see Pan's Labrynth

Just got back from the movie (and an awesome date!!!  :heart) and it was truly awesome.  The visuals were awesome.  Towards the end it felt like it was dragging, but the action kept it going.  The violence (specifically blood and gore) wasn't over the top like everyone made it out to be.  But it was all done really well.  The story was really good too. 

GO SEE IT

I was thinking of going to see it tonight, but me and my two buds ended up playing Halo 2 all night, until right now.

I'll probably go see it next weekend though because it sounds awesomely violent.

the theater I was in was awfully packed.  then again, I went to one of the nicer theaters in town.  I hope Saturday is a big leap over the 5 million it made for Friday.  This movie definitely deserves it.

The sound was awesome too.  Very well done.  Music was gorgeous and fit every scene perfectly.
