Here are my impressions

campaign:
- it's fun and kinda open ended in that you don't have a linear mission path, you can choose which missions to play

- basic gameplay in the 6 or 7 missions i played is just kill the enemies. it's fun enough

- you can choose one out of several different autobots or decepticons (depending on which campaign you picked) for a mission. it certainly helps make it a little less repetitive because you can try different characters and use the different special attacks and abilities

- there's a lot of unlockable content. I just unlocked an episode of the G1 show called Dinobots

- there's a nice upgrade system (some include: max health, turbo recharge rate for car, weapon overheat rate, etc...there's like 15 of them). You use energon you get from mission to upgrade

- story is non-existent...i guess that's why you watch the movie. there are no cutscenes save for the intro i guess

multi-player:
- these are the modes: deathmatch, team deathmatch, battle for the shards (multiple flag CTF), control points, and another one that's like a guardian mode (each side has one, optimus or megatron)

- it's pretty fun and varied due to how you can choose characters that can fly, drive, helicopter, hover, etc. and all have different attacks and special abilities

- no lag at all for ps3 version, there weren't that many people online but i did get to play a couple full 8 player TDM that were fun

- no progression system or exp or anything like that...it's just the 5 modes.

overall, a pretty solid package for a movie game. I give it a 7.5

Sounds exactly the same as Transformers 1. Which was terrible.

fyi, the starscreen thing was a joke...i guess my humor goes over your heads. anyway, the game sucks.  i retract what i said yesterday.  i played it for a couple more hours and it's just the same shit over and over again and the multi-player got old in record time.  don't get this game...don't even rent it.  i just returned it to blockbuster an hour ago and got the wolverine game
