But the songs for the most part are boring.

Yay, let's play Eye of the Tiger.

Nice to see Sunny Day Real Estate in there but other wise that list is a steaming pile of shit.

How the hell did Methodis get off my Ignore list? Casual, invective-laced dismissal of other people's opinions are extremely grating.

Is it safe to consider buying this? I like the track list shown, but Guitar Hero III has soured me on the game, the developer, the brand. By EB accounting, GH:WT is also a massive pile of steaming incontinence. I'll wait for the reviews, but more than that I'll wait to see if this is another 60 dollar game that I'll likely only get 100 GS from. GH III is a mean spirited scrooge of a game..

Odds are a good chunk of the songs will end up as RB DLC with time, but the game does look like an improvement from GHWT.  It might be worth buying at a reduced price, but I don't think you should drop $60 on it.

I feel like I've already played all these songs in previous games, and all other songs in perpetuity.  Sooooo burnt out on these games now, I just feel like I'm hitting random buttons along to an MP3 these days.

I kinda feel the same way.

Beatles Rock Band is probably going to be the last...unless they do Queen Rock Band (I'm still lingering on the idea of picking up Singstar Queen) or something as awesome.

I want a return to games like Parappa the Rapper, Ouendan or Gitaroo Man and not just karaoke stuff.

This will be the first Guitar Hero I'll ever play, even though I've had the opportunity to play a couple now.

I wish/hope we'll get more Diary, like In Circles or the first six songs.  I don't dare hope to get the whole game, but it's so perfect for a RB style game (please tell me GH V is a 'band game.')  The vocals, guitar and drums are all so great on Diary.

That said, I did a quick Google search and apparently they announced a tour two weeks ago!  Unfortunately they aren't coming anywhere near me.  Might have to go to ATL to see them, although that would be fitting since that's the only place I've ever seen them live (in college.)

The setlist is decent, it won't win records but it's not terrible.

Also, I fail to see how "Rock Band wins again" when they're not even releasing a Rock Band 3 this year, Lego RB's song list thus far is utter shit and DLC lately has been utter shit.

I could see a Jackson 5 pack, as all those dudes played instruments and the catalog of songs fit more into a band game style of play, but a Michael Jackson-only pack/game would be a little hard to pull off since the majority of his music tends to be centered around him as a performer.  Singstar or Lips or a similar karaoke game would probably work better for MJ solo stuff.

In RB2, the solo/multi tour is unified, so you can do it by yourself... so you mean RB1, right?

World Tour had Beat it, Rock Band PSP has ABC and Lego Rock Band will have I Want You Back

I think the only point I'm trying to make is that I want ABC and I Want You Back as DLC for Rock Band 2

World Tour had Beat it, Rock Band PSP has ABC and Lego Rock Band will have I Want You Back

I think the only point I'm trying to make is that I want ABC and I Want You Back as DLC for Rock Band 2

The PSP exclusive songs are going to eventually be RB2 DLC and I believe the Lego songs will be exportable to RB2.
